Streaming Problems

If you are having trouble streaming, here are a few recommendations:

1) Check that your internet connection to your device is sufficient

2) Restart your web browser, and make sure you don't have many windows open

3) Try a different browser. Not all browsers are created equal.

4) Make sure that you are using one of our recommended viewing methods. If you are going to cast your screen, note that not all home entertainment configurations are supported. Here are a couple of hints:

Airplay
On an iOS device
  • Connect the iOS device to the same Wi-Fi network that the Apple TV or AirPlay 2-enabled smart TV is connected to.
  • Open the Control Center by doing one of the following:
  • On an iPhone X or later, or iPad with iOS version 12 or higher: swipe down from the top right corner of the screen.
  • On an iPhone 8 or earlier, or for iOS version 11 or lower: swipe up from the bottom of the screen.
  • Tap on “Screen Mirroring"
  • Select the Apple TV or AirPlay 2-enabled smart TV from the list.
  • When the AirPlay password prompt appears on the TV screen, enter the password on your device to begin AirPlaying.
On a Mac
  • Connect the Mac to the same Wi-Fi network that the Apple TV or AirPlay 2-enabled smart TV is connected to.
  • Click on the AirPlay icon Select the Apple TV or AirPlay 2-enabled smart TV from the list.
  • When the AirPlay password prompt appears on the TV screen, enter the password on your device to begin AirPlaying.
  • NOTE: The TV will mirror the screen orientation and the screen ratio of the iOS device. To apply full screen on the TV screen with the mirrored iOS device screen, change the screen ratio of the TV or change the zoom in/zoom out configuration
chromecast
Android device
  • You need the following to cast to a larger screen:
         Chromecast, Chromecast Ultra, or TV with built-in Chromecast
  • Check that your mobile device is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as the Chromecast device.
  • Open the Google Home app
  • Tap on the device you want to cast to.
  • Tap on “Cast my screen”, and then tap “Cast screen”.
On your computer
  • You need the following to cast Chrome on your TV.
       Chromecast, Chromecast Ultra, or TV with in-built Chromecast
       Computer and Wi-Fi network that meets the minimum system requirements
       The latest version of Chrome(higher than version 72)
  • Connect the computer and the Chromecast device to the same Wi-Fi network.
  • Cast a Google Chrome tab
  • Open Google Chrome on your computer.
  • Click on the “Customize and Control button in Google Chrome on the top right, and then click “Cast”.
  • Select the Chromecast device you want to display the contents.
              If Chromecast is already in use, the contents displayed on the TV will be replaced with your contents.
  • Once completed, click on “Cast” to the right of the address bar, and then click on “Stop casting"
Cast the computer screen
  • Open Google Chrome on your computer.
  • Click on the “Customize and Control" button in Google Chrome on the top right, and then click “Cast”.
  • Click on the downward arrow next to “Sources”.
  • Click on “Cast desktop”.
  • Select the Chromecast device you want to display the screen contents on.
